BRAZILIAN NATURALIST AND FILMMAKER,

SERGIO ROSSETTI-MOROSINI

Sergio grew up in an agricultural community outside of Guarapuava, Brazil in the heart of Parana’s Araucaria forest. His life as a naturalist, diplomat, artist and filmmaker has led him to a long-term project of documenting the history and plight of the Araucaria region, its wildlife and its people. SPVS- The Brazilian Conservation Society has invited him to speak at our annual fundraiser, where we hope to raise money to help him finish his film!  Contributions will be strictly voluntary and will be tax deductible. Food and drink will be served. Please join us!

The building is between Pinehurst and Haven Ave, which is far west (there is only Hudson River beyond it).

If you go by subway, take the A train to 175 Street, get off at Fort Washington Ave and walk two blocks west on 176 Street

If you drive via West Side Highway, take 178 Street exit, make a right on Pinehurst, then a right on 177, a left on Haven, go one block to the corner of 176 Street and make a left. The entrance is the first one on the right.

From FDR Drive, take Amsterdam Ave exit, make a left at the light, then a right to 177 Str., go all the way west to Haven Ave, make a left, and go one block to 176 Street

Chances are you will find parking on the street, but there is also a garage right across our building on Haven Ave, it would cost $10 for the evening.
